Health, Safety and Wellbeing Lead

To continue meeting community needs and continued growth the City now seeks applications for the position of Health, Safety and Wellbeing Lead.

Working with the People and Customer Manager, this is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for the delivery of professional occupational health and safety advice and support to the organisation in the following areas:

• Development and review of Policies and Procedures including consultation with stakeholders
• Delivering WHS Training
• Reporting on WHS Trends
• Support and guidance to WHS Committee
• Embed WHS into the organisational culture

To support your success in this role, you will have:

• Extensive and demonstrated experience advising on workplace health and safety, injury management, and employee wellbeing.
• Proficiency in implementing and maintaining robust safety management systems.
• Proven ability in injury management and facilitating successful return-to-work outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong relationship-building capabilities with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in relevant legislation, policy, and guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

A tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline with relevant experience would also be necessary for this role.
