The City is seeking a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to provide high quality mechanical services at industry specified standards, for the maintenance and enhancement of City plant and fleet assets.
Reporting to the Team Leader Workshop, this position will support the City by:
- Performing repairs and maintenance on a diverse range of mobile fleet and plant.
- Testing and analysing machinery faults.
- Attending to other mechanics’ needs within the City’s operations as required.
- Maintaining compliant work practices in accordance with all relevant legislation, recordkeeping frameworks and all other relevant Council policies and procedures.
This role is based in Osborne Park, in a clean and well organised depot workshop, offering great family friendly hours and work life balance.
To be successful in this role you will be able to work closely with a team of tradespersons and engage with internal stakeholders across the City.
You will also be to work with external stakeholders including suppliers, panel beaters and repair agents.
