Nuline Charter/Bayside Coaches is an established and well-respected specialised charter bus company providing a high level of service. We are experiencing growth because we have great teams who constantly deliver. We service our own fleet of 120+ vehicles and predominately work from our two workshops in the South East suburbs.
About the role:
Due to the continuing growth of the company, we are currently looking for a full-time trade qualified Diesel Mechanic to join the Workshop team. We are seeking a mature minded, committed and experienced individual that can work as part of a team.
Key responsibilities of this role are fulfilling preventative maintenance schedules and carrying out testing, diagnosis and repairs to buses plus engine rebuilds. This includes test driving of vehicles to diagnose malfunctions.
Skills and Experience:
- Trade Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic or apprentice nearing completion
- Have post apprenticeship experience of at least 5 years preferred, but will consider people with less who can show they have experience of working unsupervised
- Possess HR Licence or must be willing to obtain HR Licence
- Heavy Vehicle Experience
- Experience working on Volvo vehicles would be advantageous
- Forklift Licence would be a plus, but not a must
- Be self-motivated and able to problem solve
- Be able to make decisions with minimal guidance as well as being an effective communicator
- Be able to work unsupervised and to meet deadlines
- Possess attention to detail
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be punctual and reliable
The role comprises of a 40-hour week, overtime and weekend work will be available on a rolling roster.
