About the role:
Due to continued growth, we have multiple positions for Heavy Duty Diesel Fitters at our Whyalla facility with the long-term goal of providing a premium and reliable maintenance team to our stakeholders. This team will be at the forefront of enabling the stakeholders to maintain their logistic carriers.
Key accountabilities include:
- Repair and maintenance of Mobile Plant and equipment, to achieve maximum equipment availability and productive life through preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems as they occur.
- Support and embrace a preventative maintenance system.
- Complete all work orders accurately.
- Complete all fleet records for effective reporting and scheduling may be maintained.
- Follow maintenance schedule (weekly/fortnightly)
- Bring efficiency in the ongoing process to reduce the turnaround times.
- Identify and assist in purchasing parts.
- Ensure all work is to a high standard.
- Create and maintain a high standard of workshop and yard housekeeping.

Employment Criteria:
- Certificate 3 – Heavy Vehicle Diesel Fitting or equivalent
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Experience in the operation of heavy mobile plants preferred
- Side tipper experience desired.
- FEL experience desired.
- Awareness of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and codes of practice for the operations of mobile plants.
- Good communication skills
- Basic numeracy skills
