About the role:
We are looking for energetic and motivated Trades Assistants to join our Workshop team based in the Wingfield facility. This role reports to the Workshop Supervisor and Leading Hand. We are looking for candidates with a good work ethic that are looking to develop a career in the industrial sector.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Work in production workshop with trade staff
- Loading and unloading trucks as required
- Stores duties from time to time
- General trade assistant duties (assisting Fabricators /Welders)
- Operating power tools and equipment
- Cleaning and maintaining workshop
- Take direction from Supervisor/Leading Hand as required for daily/weekly tasking
Essential Employment Criteria:
- Be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
- Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Willing to learn attitude
- Ability to complete manual lifting tasks when required
- Mechanical aptitude is advantageous
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Must hold a current Australian driver's license
- Must have High-Risk Forklift License and construction white card
- Must have HR License - Unrestricted
- Working at heights, EWP, Overhead Crane, Dogging and Rigging tickets are desirable
- High commitment to safety
- Good verbal & communication skills
- Mon to Friday roster - 6 am to 2.30 pm, may work until 4.30 pm on occasions.
- Willing to work overtime
- Able to work weekends when required
