About The Role
Select Plant Australia is currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Mechanic.
This role will be based out of our modern Select Plant Australia – Seven Hills Depot on a full-time basis, however will involve providing technical expertise across multiple locations.
You will be working on various heavy civil construction machinery including excavators, loaders, cranes, telehandlers, power generators and a wide range of civil ancillary equipment, servicing our internal and external clientele.
Using your extensive diagnostic skills, commitment to quality control and safe work practices, our Service Workshop team will support you every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with all company health and safety policies.
- Provides technical advice and supervision when required across allocated region.
- Provides trade guidance and assistance and technical expertise to management.
- Carry out high-quality maintenance and repairs across a wide range of plant and equipment, up to and above OEM and industry requirements.
- Attended onsite breakdowns working efficiently to resolve.
- Complete accurate service and breakdown reports.
- Performs non-trade tasks incidental to work
- Identify and requisition parts required to carry out repairs.
- Follow internal and external client's site entry requirements and rules.
About You
- In order to be considered for the role, you'll need to hold the minimum requirements below:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a civil Plant Mechanic (essential)
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (Diesel Fitting) or equivalent (essential)
- Have experience working on civil and/or construction equipment and machines (essential)
- Well-rounded diagnostics skills across hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Results-driven, positive attitude and the willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Australian Driver's Licence - Manual C Class (minimum).
- Australian Construction Induction Card (Blue/White Card).
- RIW Card (advantageous, but not essential).
- Able to complete and pass a pre-employment medical.
