This role will be reporting to the WA Mining Environmental Manager and will be offered on a Family Friendly Monday to Friday roster (8hrs), with a paid day off every four weeks.You will be leading the Willowdale site-based environmental team and ensuring strong operational environmental processes to achieve standards and expectations are implemented and maintained. Responsibilities include, engaging stakeholders, collaboratively developing and implementing solutions to achieve environmental standards, presenting business cases, creating and executing operations-based projects to schedule, implementing Alcoa’s Environmental Management System, and representing the Willowdale operations environment team on the WA Mining Environmental Lead team.Your focus will be towards:
- Driving consistent achievement of environmental standards and expectations across the Mine Site,
- Providing operational support to key environmental projects and initiatives and;
- Ensuring the site environment team meets performance expectations such as maintaining compliance with all legislative requirements, commitments, and Alcoa standards thus encouraging a safe and balanced work environment.

- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related subject area.
- Considerable experience in Environmental Management in a mining environment.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of State and Federal environmental legislation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of compliance and reporting procedures and processes.
- Positive relationship building skills to effectively connect with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Good communication, coaching, problem solving and planning skills so that you are able to engage and manage your teams well.
