Dunnings Fuel, a leading Family Fuel distributor, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Perth.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the professional maintenance and repairs of trucks, trailers, and equipment in the tanker fleet at our Forrestfield WA Depot.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- FIFO Mechanic option available for Australian states only
- Scheduled servicing and routine maintenance of our fleet – prime movers, rigid trucks, trailers, dollies, tankers, and light vehicles
- General diagnosis and repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Minor fabrication and welding
- Breakdown duties as required.
- Maintain service records to a high standard.
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Trade qualified Heavy DutyDiesel Mechanic
- Kenworth and Cummins Experience is preferred.
- Car licence as a minimum, however an MC licence would be advantageous.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing general mechanical faults.
- Previous gearbox, general repairs, and servicing duties experience
- Demonstrate a willingness to undertake general repairs.
- Understanding of workshop compliance and Australian Truck Safety Standards.
- Roadside experience.
- Meet strict deadlines.
- Reliable with an excellent work ethic.
- Motivated and team orientated.
- Hands on approach
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
