We are looking for experienced Heavy Motor Mechanics to join our Workshop team based in Dalby, QLD.
- To perform high precision trade (diesel mechanic) work plus multi-trade skills within the limits of training and competency;
- Provide routine, break-down and rebuild maintenance to large mobile and fixed plant, as well as other assets in accordance with established practice and industry standards;
- General heavy vehicle diesel mechanical tasks including the use of gear reduction units, fluid couplings and power transmission devices, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Tradesman experienced with heavy (essential) and light vehicles (preferable).
- Proven ability to be able to troubleshoot and diagnose faults.
- Experienced in all aspects of light vehicles and heavy machinery and plant on civil construction/mine sites.
Your Qualifications
- You hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ demonstrated experience as a qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic.
- You hold a valid, open Australian Driver’s License and General Construction Induction Card or willingness to obtain.
- You have demonstrated experience and general knowledge of the construction industry, civil engineering and environmental principles and relevant legislation/standards;
- Experience with DIDO/FIFO rosters
