Why not now? -About the RoleReporting to the Auxiliary Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance to highway going trucks, generators, dewatering pump units, lighting plans, mobile and classified plant equipment.In this role you will:
- Provide the highest level of diagnostics, repairs, maintenance/service to a fleet of Trucks (Scania/Fuso's), Diesel Generators, Lighting Plants, EWP's, Forklifts and other critical equipment within the Auxiliary department to ensure the efficiency of operations
- Contribute to our safety and continuous improvement culture, BHP Operating Systems (BOS), by being pro-active and demonstrating a commitment to high standards of execution within your trade
- Operate mobile equipment within limits of competence, training and experience
- Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports and drawings as required
- Use of computerized maintenance systems (SAP) including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with the rescheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scope of work and determining priorities when required
- Australian recognised Heavy Road Transport Mechanical Qualification
- C Class Drivers Licence (HR Desirable)
- High Risk License Working at Heights, HR, CV, Dogging, Rigging, Fork Lift, Air Con Ticket preferred
- Extensive experience diagnosing, maintaining and repair/servicing a broad range of machinery/equipment of direct relevance
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a close-knit team to achieve outcomes
