The Role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Truck Mechanics. The role will be responsible for the execution of servicing and heavy maintenance on a fleet of Kenworth C508 heavy haulage road trains with dual side tipping trailers.
This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and availability of the coal haulage road train fleet and we are looking for someone who will look after this fleet with pride. When required you will also integrate into the wider maintenance team to assist in the maintenance of our mining equipment fleet.
Responsibilities of the Role
- Liaise with operators to ensure equipment is operating at peak performance
- Scope equipment for defects and plan repairs
- Diagnose and repair faults
- Perform planned services on both tractor and tailer units.
- Work in conjunction with the maintenance planning and execution teams to optimise efficiency of service delivery
- Relevant qualifications and experience in the maintenance of road based/Heavy Truck and trailer equipment
- High energy and ability to work with tight deadlines in a dynamic maintenance workplace as a team player
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure, with reliability and accuracy
