About the roleWe require a qualified Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Truck Technician for a Leading Hand role at a Fleet Management operation in Cobram VIC.
You will work with a small team on an interesting variety of trucks, trailers and ancillary equipment, and cover routine servicing and maintenance, diagnostic procedures and repairs.
Duties and responsibilitiesYou will carry out the service and repair of customers’ vehicles to ensure total customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner, taking into account time, safety and quality workmanship.
Required attributes, skills and experience- Formal mechanical trade qualification
- Previous supervisor experience desirable
- Customer focused team attitude with good communication skills
- Reliable with good time management skills
- Willing to work overtime if required
- Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety
- Current truck drivers licence preferably MC
- Competitive hourly rates (NEG circa $40-$45 p/hr + allowances)
