Job Summary:
Looking for a rewarding career? Enjoy a 4-day work week, with 10-hour days from Wednesday to Saturday, and competitive full-time rates of up to $65 per hour, plus OT. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you'll play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company vehicles and equipment. Your responsibilities include fault diagnosis, routine maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle components
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks
- Conducting thorough inspections to identify any potential issues or malfunctions
- Using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems
- Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring all work is performed to industry standards
Key Requirements:
- 3 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- Certification III in Heavy Machine Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- MC driver licence (advantage)
