The Hallett Group is a privately owned South Australian company and one of the leading suppliers of building and construction materials in South Australia.
We operate a modern fleet of around 20 prime movers of various configurations from tandem truck and dog, semi tippers through to B Double and A Double / triple road-trains. We also operate 5 cement powder tankers ranging from singles, road trains and PBS compliant twin steer truck and 5 axle dog cement tankers.
Our team of professional drivers pride themselves on their safety performance and ability to work independently and problem solve on the job. Our drivers average 10 – 12 hour shifts and earn a competitive base rate plus penalties, allowances and shift loading where applicable.
We have multiple opportunities for professional, experienced Heavy Vehicle Drivers:
TIPPER DRIVER - DAY AND NIGHT SHIFT
TANKER DRIVER - NIGHT SHIFT
GENERAL FREIGHT DRIVER
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safe operation of Heavy Vehicles including reporting all incidents and assessing risks
• Understand and adhere to National Heavy Vehicle legislation and WH&S Procedures
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and report all maintenance issues
• Comply with ongoing drug and alcohol screening and other site access requirements
• Represent Hallett Group in a professional manner to the general public, road users and customers
• Maintain vehicles to company standards
• Participate in toolbox meetings and ongoing training and development
QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIES
• Road Ranger experience (required)
• Minimum licence requirements - MC licence (Tankers) or HC licence (Tippers)
• Experience operating relevant vehicle type and a solid driving record (required)
• FEL experience (preferred) for Night Shift Tipper Drivers
• Competency in Basic Fatigue Management and Mass Management preferred
