The Package: $76,233.04 - $84,235.32 gross per annum + 11% super. (Evaluated as Grade 11 of the QPRC Salary System 2023) and guaranteed increases of 3.5% in 2024-25 and 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.
Full Time – 38 hours per week. 9-day fortnight conditions will apply.
Do you have experience within the Heavy Vehicle industry and are looking for an exciting new opportunity? This position provides an opportunity to contribute towards ensuring safe operation of Heavy Vehicles on our roads.
In this role you will:
- Identify and weigh overloaded vehicles on public roads and weight limited bridges.
- Keep accurate records and maintain evidence of patrolling activities.
- Provide knowledge and technical support on National Heavy Vehicle Regulator matters.
- Patrol the localities of Queanbeyan-Palerang and surrounding regions for breaches of Heavy Vehicle legislation.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has relevant qualifications and/or work experience with knowledge of the Road Transport Act 2013 and National Heavy Vehicle Law (NSW).
- Strong communication ability to engage with different types of stakeholders and de-escalate conflict.
- Ability to manage time effectively by organising and setting appropriate priorities to optimise resources and meet deadlines.
- Experience in the transport industry with truck configurations and weight limits for NSW, NSW B Double & Road Train Route restrictions is highly desirable.
