Form of workTecside are looking for HVM TO Support DMC (Defence Maintenance Contract) for RAAF Base Edinburgh in SA
Key Responsibilities
- General heavy commercial vehicle maintenance duties including:
- Servicing, fault diagnosis and light to medium grade repairs on the ADF's fleets of general duties
- Highway, offroad and armoured vehicle variants.
- Lots of preventative maintenance and breakdown maintenance
- All tools supplied
Mandatory:
- Australian (or equivalent) qualification: Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanic Cert III is the minimum requirement.
- LVM: Cert III that relates to Motor Mechanics specifically - noting candidates with Agricultural tickets are generally not suitable
- Medical required: Pre-employment in clinic medical
- Must be able to qualify for a National Police Name Check AND be an Australian Citizen in order to obtain ADF ID and base access pass
Payrate
HVM:
- $63 max for HVM
- Potential for discussion if qualified, highly experienced, and ex-defence LVM:
● $58 max for LVM
Hours of work
- 38 hrs week
- MON-THU: 0645h - 1530h
- FRI: 0700h - 1200h
- Potential for OT: capped at 2 hours a day, generally available to HVMs and potential for LVMs
