Aussie Skips is proudly Aussie owned and operated by a dynamic team with a friendly workplace culture.  Our business is growing and a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is required to assist in our busy workshop and with our Recycling Plant.

Our opportunity

A rare opportunity exists for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our busy workshop servicing and repairing a range of fleet trucks and our recycling plant.  Friendly and supportive Head Mechanic providing plenty of opportunities to learn and expand skill set

We are based at Greenacre and looking for a mature minded person who is ready to hit the ground running.  This position is for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Diagnosing faults via inspection and diagnostic testing
• Maintaining records of all trucks and documenting all procedures and repairs
• Ability to interpret and understand all relevant truck user manuals and software
• Maintaining and cleaning of workshop 
• Wiring repairs

Essential criteria and experience

• Must have own transport
• Availability Monday to Friday 5am - 3pm
• Ability to work well in a team environment 
• Punctual, reliable and trustworthy with a positive can-do attitude
• Isuzu (Japanese) truck experience an advantage
• Current NSW HR licence
• Up to date knowledge of National Heavy Vehicle laws and regulations
• Waste management industry experience an advantage
