Location: Mt IsaDue to continued growth the Aurizon Mt Isa Port team is seeking Heavy Vehicle Operator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.Remuneration/Benefit:
- Local based residents - attractive hourly rate plus location allowance, flexible roster on agreement
- FIFO attractive hourly rate plus FIFO allowance, 8/6 roster available.
- Full time permanent positions working for Australia's Largest Rail Freight Operating Company.
- Operating Road Trains in the Mount Isa area.
- Safe Operation of heavy forklifts and reach stackers - loading and unloading containerised product.
- Undertake all tasks in a safe and compliant manner
- Operate all vehicles and equipment in line with company policy and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all safety, fatigue, Heavy Vehicle operating guide lines, loading requirements, axle weights and adhering to vehicle specific permits
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a high degree of professionalism.
- Reporting of risks and hazards in the working environment.
- Ongoing training and development available.
- Safe Driving Record along with your MC licence with min 3-year road train experience.
- Heavy forklift, Reach stacker and Loader tickets (highly regarded), on the job training will be provided and tickets paid for the right candidates if required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to complete paperwork such as pre-starts on vehicles, defect reports and other various reporting.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work autonomously.
- Have a strong work ethic, be reliable and punctual.
- Pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
- Supply full driving history.
- Sound knowledge of fatigue management and work diary requirements.
