Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Heritage and Native Title Manager for a 12 month casual contract in their Bentley office.Rate: Candidates will be submitted at the rate of their choosing based on experience and suitability for the roleDuration: 12 months
Hours: Full-time - Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week
Location: Bentley, WA + occassional travel to regional WA
Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements - casual loading included in rate)Job Responsibilities:
Support the feasibility phase of a high-voltage transmission line in WA's Pilbara region.
Assist the heritage & Engagement lead in coordinating heritage surveys.
Evaluate, organize, and prioritize workload to meet project schedule requirements.
Support the development of heritage-related packages, including drafting and reviewing scopes of work.
Manage suppliers delivering heritage-related packages for the project.
Assist the project director in reviewing board papers, briefs, and other internal approvals documentation.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and JV partner's heritage team regarding heritage matters.
Represent the project in senior management meetings.
Develop and implement project heritage management plans.
Lead heritage aspects for ILUA development and negotiations.
Manage JV partner expectations regarding heritage matters.
Deliver against cost targets and budget.
Implement best practice heritage & Native Title processes to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.ABOUT YOU
Education/Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in archaeology, anthropology, or cultural studies (essential).
Business/finance/project management qualifications (desirable).Skills and Experience (ESSENTIAL):
Minimum 5 years practical experience managing Native Title and heritage matters.
Comprehensive understanding of the Aboriginal heritage industry and associated processes.
Familiarity with the Aboriginal Heritage Act, Native Title Act, and advanced GIS skills
Experience in building relationships with traditional owner groups & PBC's in the Pilbara region.
Participation in developing heritage agreements, land access agreements, and indigenous land use agreements.
Substantial experience coordinating heritage surveys in regional WA.Skills and Experience (DESIRABLE):
Experience delivering linear infrastructure heritage surveys for national/international companies in Australia.
