Heritage Tour Bus Driver

Are you deeply connected to the rich history and heritage of Armidale? 

Armidale Regional Council is seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Heritage Tour Bus Driver. Operating within the Corporate and Community area of the Council, this position is responsible for the operation of the Heritage Tour, offering nostalgic journeys through our region's cultural landmarks. We are looking for a part-time driver with a passion for customer service, available for 12 hours over 3 days a week by mutual agreement.
The perfect person for this role is immensely proud of our community and understands the significance of preserving our cultural legacy. This role is ideal for a semi-retired or long-term resident of Armidale who enjoys sharing stories and experiences with others, contributing to the enrichment of our community's heritage.

As a Heritage Tour Bus Driver, you will embark on journeys transporting passengers through time, narrating captivating stories about local landmarks, traditions, and events. Your passion for Armidale will shine through as you provide exceptional customer service, creating memorable experiences for passengers of all ages. We are seeking reliable, personable individuals who possess a genuine love for their hometown and a desire to contribute to its heritage. Essential Criteria 

  • MR Drivers License and NSW Public Passenger Vehicle Driver Authority
  • Experience driving a bus and completing pre-start checks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a high work standard when working without supervision
  • A commitment to excellent customer service and creating positive visitor experiences.
