Role Overview: As a High Voltage Technician at Nilsen, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and safety of our diverse client’s High Voltage systems. You'll be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining High Voltage equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- High voltage coordination & switching
- Installation, configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of High Voltage equipment.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to High Voltage equipment.
- Collaborating with Nilsen & local engineering teams to implement new systems and upgrades.
- Documenting all maintenance and testing activities accurately.
Requirements:
- Proven experience, ideally 5-10yrs, working with High Voltage networks/systems.
- In-depth knowledge of HV electrical networks, switchgear etc, such as Siemens, Schneider, ABB etc , and relevant safety regulations.
- HV switching & coordination experience (desired but not mandatory).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving in High Voltage environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications (desired but not mandatory).
High VoltageProtection Technician

Role Overview: As a High VoltageProtection Technician at Nilsen, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and safety of our diverse client’s High Voltage systems. You'll be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining protection systems for High Voltage equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Primary injection tests
- Secondary injection tests
- Routine Omicron testing
- High voltage coordination & switching
- Installation, configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of High Voltage equipment & protection systems.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to High Voltage equipment and protection systems.
- Collaborating with Nilsen & local engineering teams to implement new systems and upgrades.
- Documenting all maintenance and testing activities accurately.
Requirements:
