About the Role

As Victoria’s largest regional health service, Barwon Health offers employees the opportunity to work within a close knit health care community, reminiscent of smaller local health centres, that is able to provide diverse care, much like that of its metropolitan counterparts. With all of the major specialities represented apart from Neurosurgery, Major burns and Transplant medicine, Barwon Health provides a major referral service for the South West region of Victoria.  This means great exposure to Adult, Paediatric, Surgical, Medical, Obstetric/Gynaecology, Psychiatry, Subacute services to name a few. Doctors in training can progress their careers through their work in the hospital and in our community based services and are provided with supervisors and mentors who can assist with career progression, training and exam success. Our ED term is suitable for the paediatric requirement in GP training. Those who come to work at Barwon Health often remain in the area providing long standing excellent care to our community. Come and join the team and see for yourself!

Rotations include Emergency, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ICU, Geriatrics, Psychiatry (Community or Inpatient rotations available) and a mandatory rotation at Colac Area Health Service.
