About this opportunity
The HCP Advisor will focus on supporting our national network of offices to enable them to optimise the client care experience throughout the entire care continuum. With key responsibility for providing advice and support to the network about Home Care Packages (HCP) including related legislation, guidelines and standards, you will also work as part of a team ensuring that business processes and practices support the provision of consistently high-quality relationship-based Home Care.
This role would suit someone looking to step away from client interaction and into a strategic project-based role.
- Develop and facilitating training programs, workshops and informal sessions as well as create educational materials, guidelines and manuals that align with aged care reforms.
- Review and improve ways to optimise the HCP client care experience throughout the client care continuum.
- Stay up-to-date with all aged care reforms, regulatory updates and policy changes related to aged care services.
- Monitor Home Instead’s activities to ensure adherence to regulations & reforms
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry professionals, government agencies and relevant associations
- Analyse data related to Home Care services, funding and demographics to identify trends and areas requiring adjustment
About you:
- Experience in the delivery and management of Home Care Packages.
- A comprehensive understanding of the requirements to provide services in accordance with the Aged Care Act, including the Aged care legislation, Aged Care Standards and the national aged care reform agenda.
- Qualifications in aged care, nursing, social work, allied health, or another professional care-related discipline.
- Strong demonstrable knowledge of and experience in the aged care sector.
- Strong understanding and experience in navigating Government portals My Aged Care, PRODA and Services Australia
- Able to travel throughout Australia
