Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? We're looking for dedicated individuals to join our team of Home Care Workers in the Southern and Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional Home Care services to elderly clients within their residences.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients in their mobility and daily living activities.
- Administer medications according to clients' prescribed schedules.
- Prepare meals and ensure dietary needs are met.
- Undertake light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry.
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients.
- Offer social support and transportation assistance for medical appointments and grocery shopping.
Requirements:
- Certification in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Support, or a related field is desired. (If lacking certification, Home Help duties will be assigned).
- Preferably possess a Medication Assistance/Prompting certificate.
- Prior experience in caring for elderly or disabled individuals is preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of two doses of the COVID vaccine is mandatory.
- Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Obtain a clear National Police Check or demonstrate willingness to obtain one.
- Hold a CPR and First Aid certificate (Level 2).
- Display compassion, patience, and understanding towards clients.
