Home Care Support Worker/s

• Make a difference in a NFP that supports military veterans and their families
• Permanent part time position (25-30 hours/week)
• $31.80/hour + super & salary packaging benefits (up to $18,000 tax-free salary component = more take home pay)
• Work available in the North East: Templestowe, Doncaster, Balwyn & Box Hill areas

About the role

The Home Care Support Worker will provide direct in-home assistance which supports each person to achieve their cultural, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual goals in their daily living.  Duties may vary from providing personal care assistance and performing domestic tasks to assisting them to engage in social activities and shopping external to their home.

Travel between clients’ homes will be required.  Clients will be allocated wherever practical in your chosen region.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have proven effective communication skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach to work.  You will also be flexible and adaptable, and be confident to respond to various situations to meet the needs of our clients.

You will also have:

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or equivalent and experience providing personal care to residents/clients/consumers.
• Proven ability to effectively manage time and organise workload.
• Strong computer literacy with emphasis on client management systems and internet.
• Current First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificates.
• Reliable and registered vehicle and current Comprehensive car insurance.
• Current driver’s license and ability and willingness to drive to and from client’s homes.
• Willingness to undergo a National police check and provide proof of rights to work in Australia
