The Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan is a scientific hub and showcases Australian flora amongst 416 hectares of rolling hills, lakes, lawns and gardens.

About the role
Our busy Natural Areas and Open Spaces team are currently seeking a Horticultural Labourer who will contribute to the turf conservation, maintenance and regeneration of turf and natural areas within Botanic Gardens site.
What we are looking for
- Relevant experience in the development, maintenance of turf displays and regeneration of turf and natural areas.
- Has AQF3 or willing to obtain, has no fear of chemical application with correct PPE
- Experience in the use and maintenance of relevant turf machinery and equipment.
- Sound knowledge and demonstrated capacity to implement occupational health and safety policy and practices.
- Someone that is self-motivated and can work within a team environment and alone.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of turf areas in accordance with BG policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Sound knowledge and demonstrated capacity to implement occupational health and safety policy and practices.
- Current driver's licence with the ability to drive manual vehicles
- Has the ability to lift and carry a minimum 15 kilos.
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends if required.
