This is a targeted role under GSE Rule 26 and Aboriginal people are encouraged to apply About the role Our busy Natural Areas and Open Spaces team are currently seeking a Horticultural Labourer who will contribute to the turf conservation, maintenance and regeneration of turf and natural areas within Botanic Gardens site. What we are looking for Relevant experience in the development, maintenance of turf displays and regeneration of turf and natural areas. Has AQF3 or willing to obtain, has no fear of chemical application with correct PPE Experience in the use and maintenance of relevant turf machinery and equipment. Sound knowledge and demonstrated capacity to implement occupational health and safety policy and practices. Someone that is self-motivated and can work within a team environment and alone. Supporting the development and maintenance of turf areas in accordance with BG policies and procedures. Essential Requirements Sound knowledge and demonstrated capacity to implement occupational health and safety policy and practices. Current driver’s licence with the ability to drive manual vehicles Has the ability to lift and carry a minimum 15 kilos. Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends if required.
