We require 30 Horticultural workers at a property located near Goolwa, South Australia. Main duties include, but not limited to, planting, harvesting, sorting and packing fresh vegetables for up to 9 months commencing July 2024. Applicants should be motivated, be able to learn quickly, able to work in a team and be very physically fit. Work is physically demanding and strenuous. Produce is hand harvested requiring frequent bending, squatting and walking.
Payment is made on a piece work casual basis under the Horticultural Award 2020 with a minimum of 30 hours per week. Work hours are varied up to 6 days per week in all weather conditions and some very early starts.
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
• Must be fit, flexible, and in good health
• Ability to stand, walk, squat and bend frequently
• Ability to work in a team environment, quickly and accurately
• Ability to follow instructions
• Flexibility to work varying hours and days depending on market demand
• Ability to work in all weather- hot, cold, windy, rain and mud
• Must have the right to work in Australia
• Must be willing to commit to nine months work
