The role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Horticulturist to join Kingston's Open Space team.
Horticulturists are required to conduct general horticulture maintenance activities in the establishment and beautification of Councils open spaces. Having an eye for detail, the incumbent must be passionate about plants and landscape management.
Working in a crew of like-minded people, the teams need to be self-motivated and responsible for the quality, quantity, and timeliness of allocated work performance with minimal supervision.
About you
As a committed team player who can work autonomously, you will work on a range of garden maintenance and horticultural projects across our open space and reserves to maintain enjoyable spaces for our community. With an eye for detail and keen to be part of a crew, you should be initiative-taking and embrace contemporary horticultural practices.
We are looking for someone with:

- Self-organised and takes pride in own work
- Expertise and demonstrated experience in horticulture
- Experience in using a range of hand and power tools

The salary for these positions starts at $65,021 (Band 3) per annum plus superannuation.
