About You
Southcott is on a transformative journey to support our significant growth agenda, and we're seeking a Hose Assembler/Storeperson to help us achieve our next level of success at Emerald branch.
The role combines hose assembly and warehousing, primarily focusing on assembling custom industrial and hydraulic hoses using tools such as crimpers and pressure testers. Additionally, you will assist with various warehouse operations, including packing, storage, dispatch, and general duties.
No prior experience is necessary for this role. We will provide comprehensive training and support, making it an excellent opportunity for those starting their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting product specifications.
- Utilizing measuring devices for accuracy.
- Building hose assemblies according to specific customer requirements.
- Operating crimping machines in line with given specifications.
- Testing hose assemblies as required.
- Handling order picking and packing with attention to detail.
- Performing general housekeeping duties in the warehouse.
- Undertaking additional tasks as required within your capabilities.
Skills and Attributes:
- Capability to operate various types of assembly equipment.
- Experience or familiarity with using measuring devices.
- Strong ability to comprehend and follow written instructions.
- Holding a valid Vehicle License.
- Holding a Forklift License is preferred.
