About the role
Our friendly and diverse team in theatre are looking for a Hospital Bookings Administratorto fulfil and coordinate Hospital Bookings and administrative duties in an efficient and effective way. This is a permanent part time position, working 36 hours per fortnight (2 x 9 hour shift each week) based at The Bays Hospital on Main Street, Mornington.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Building relationships and working closely with Specialists’ rooms
- Coordination of theatre and bed bookings for the hospital
- Liaising with nursing staff and visiting medical officers
- Data entry into our EPAS program to capture critical information
- Administrative duties for the Theatre department
About you
We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
- A medical terminology qualification (desirable) and strong understanding of surgical procedures
- Previous experience in a healthcare administration or similar role
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and tasks effectively
- A high degree of attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Office
