The Handyman is responsible for providing both preventative and reactive maintenance of the Hospital to ensure a safe and well maintained working environment. This position is full time, 76 hours per fortnight and involves being on call every 3 weeks for a week at a time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support service delivery under the direction of Management
- Assist in the timely repair and maintenance of hospital plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings.
- Perform general maintenance tasks as directed including but not limited to changing of light bulbs, cleaning of ceiling fans and vents, general repairs of plant and equipment.
- Liaise with others in the department and contractors, perform facility inductions, ensure all WHS documentation and procedures are followed.
- Undertake routine corrective maintenance and/or notify the external provider if required to undertake repairs.
- Be Part of an on-call roster
