The opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to partner with our clinical team at Slade Pharmacy, located at the Wesley Private Hospital in Brisbane. Here you will develop and expand upon a broad range of hospital pharmacy skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment. You will have the opportunity to work with an expert team of allied health professionals and doctors to leave a positive impact on patient care. Full-time and part-time applications will be considered.
We have either a full-time or part-time 12-month contract opportunity available, depending on the availability of the successful candidate. The days are flexible, but the successful candidate will need to have availability to work alternate Saturdays.
In this role, you’ll:
- Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
- Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
- Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
- Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines

Slade Pharmacy Wesley is conveniently located on level 2 of the Wesley Hospital (on the left-hand side of the main entrance, behind admissions). The pharmacy provides a wide range of products and services to inpatients of the Wesley Hospital, as well as non-PBS dispensing and non-prescription items for outpatients and staff.

You’ll:
- Be a Registered Pharmacist with experience working in an Australian pharmacy
- Have a compassionate and team-oriented attitude

- Have time management, communication and teamwork skills
- Embrace change and commit to learning
Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of dispensing experience in an Australian based community or hospital pharmacy
- Current AHPRA registration
