The position is ideal for a couple or 2 friends who are happy to share a studio apartment
While the roles are majority housekeeping there will also be reception and grounds/gardening hours. Training will be provided, however some prior experience in hotel reception and guest services is essential. A driving license is also required
Our staff members are paid under the hospitality general award 2020 at level 3 which amounts to the following
CAS Level 2 Grade 2 $30.10
CAS Level 2 Grade 2 Sat $36.12
CAS Level 2 Grade 2 Sun $42.14
CAS Level 3 Grade 2 Public holiday $60.20
Superannuation 11%
This role is suitable for your visa extension.
In terms of work hours our staff can work up to 6 days per week depending on their preference, usually 25-40 hours across a 7 day roster. You may prefer to work more or less and that is fine. It’s a great opportunity to save money, many of our staff stay for 3-6 months to complete the visa extension and save to fund the remainder of their travels
On site accommodation in a studio apartment including wifi, utilities and use of all property facilities including laundry, swimming pool is provided in exchange for night manager duties (after hours phone calls, emergencies only) The apartment can be furnished with a double or 2 single beds as required
The Location
We are based in Alice Springs which is the very Centre of Australia, Autumn is a beautiful time up here with daily sunshine and cooler temperature. There are a number of great events during the autumn months as well as the cafes, arts, culture and unique landscape that make Alice Springs such a beautiful location.
Outside of work you will have time to explore the beautiful Central Australia region including Uluru, Kings Canyon, the swimming holes of the West MacDonnell Ranges and hiking on the Larapinta Trail.
