Coral Expeditions is Australia’s pioneering cruise line, specialising in a unique style of immersive adventures by small expedition ship. With humble beginnings hosting cruises on the Great Barrier Reef, the company has grown into a borderless fleet of three ships carrying between 72 and 120 guests. For four decades, Coral Expeditions has operated with a single purpose – to take small groups of likeminded explorers to remote places with expert guidance and warm Australian hospitality. In 2023, we have returned to international sailings including New Zealand, Japan, Papua New Guinea, and Islands of Indonesia.

The role
In this role you will work as part of the Engineering team and support the Engineering and Hospitality team through:
- Carrying out preventive maintenance throughout the Ship to ensure standards are maintained for guest comfort.
- Prioritising and carrying out maintenance as requested to ensure the smooth running of all Hospitality department.
- Liaising closely with the Chief Engineer and Purser regarding impacted cabins to expedite a quick turnaround.
What we are looking for
If our role interests you and you are able to demonstrate the following:
- A minimum of 1 year hotel maintenance experience with good knowledge and proven experience in all areas of Maintenance.
- Be self-motivated and take pride in your work.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The minimum requirements to be able to work on board our Ships are:
- AMSA Medical
- MSIC Card
- ASSB
- First Aid or Medical Care on Ships & CPR
- Passenger Ship training
- STCW

- Shipboard rosters for this role will generally be 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off, however may vary in length due to itineraries.
