House Keeping / Cleaners

Providential Homes is a Christian faith based charitable organisation that specialises in providing emergency accommodation for people in need.

Two fantastic casual positions has opened up working in our House Keeping / Cleaning Team in our Liverpool office, with staff working across our South-West Sydney properties.

The role includes:

• Cleaning the interior of our properties as required, including rooms, floors, windows and possible linen changes. These will vary each day depending upon which properties / rooms are being vacated that day
• Bedmaking, linen changes as required
• Kitchen and bathroom maintenance - cupboards, pantry, refrigerator, counters, amenities
• Ensuring appearance and cleanliness of rooms / properties are of a high standard to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for people arriving, often in traumatic circumstances
• Liaising with Head Coordinator each morning to obtain list of vacant properties and requirements for the day
• Other duties where required as agreed between Employer and Employee
• Respecting the confidentiality of our guests, volunteers and staff including records and discussions pertaining to personal circumstances, etc

Applicants should ideally have the following:

• A strong commitment to both the Mission and Vision Statements and to the values of Providential Homes
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Excellent time management skills to work within time frames and busy schedules
• Highly reliable
• Professional presentation
• Energetic, self-motivated and able to work autonomously and independently
• Outgoing, friendly personality and relationship building expertise. Must love working with people!
• You're willing to get in and do a great job
• Must have current, valid Australian Drivers Licence and their own car
• Must be willing to obtain a Working With Children Check
• Previous experience in similar position advantageous
• On the job training will be provided.
