Purpose of Position
The position of Housekeeper ensures the delivery of effective cleaning and hygiene services within Sundale sites are of a sufficiently high standard that will enhance the care recipient’s way of life and the team members working environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of Sundale Care Centres and equipment according to infection-control policy and procedure;
- Observe and report any maintenance issues;
- Operate various types of cleaning equipment and machinery for floor cleaning, upholstery cleaning, heavy duty areas;
- Empty and clean Rubbish bins;
- Dusting, polishing, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming; cleaning bathrooms/ windows/mirrors;
- Daily cleaning of residents rooms, including scheduled deep cleans
- Checking of residents personal fridges for expired foods
- Restocking of cleaning products on cleaning trolleys
