This role is part of our 30+ person Housekeeping team and reports directly to the Housekeeping Manager.
In this role you will be responsible for completing a wide range of general cleaning duties across the St Vincent’s campus including:
- Using various equipment and products to complete all facets of detail cleaning – floors, bathrooms, offices, fixtures, fittings etc;
- Undertaking laundry duties including washing, drying, folding and moving full laundry trolleys to their designated areas;
- Cleaning and servicing rooms and common areas throughout the campus i.e. hospital, aged care, childcare, offices, suites, pool etc, including emptying bins, changing linen, replenishing supplies, sanitising surfaces etc;
- Maintaining a safe and hazard free environment for patients, residents, children, visitors, staff and self;
- Adhering to Infection Control procedures and working to all job specifications, in line with all St Vincent’s Lismore and housekeeping policies and procedures.
We have 2 x permanent, part-time housekeeping roles available, at 32 to 46 hours per fortnight (minimum) and based at our St Vincent’s Lismore campus.

Your skills & experience
- Previous cleaning in a health care setting preferred but not essential. Training and support will be provided for all work duties;
- An understanding and/or willingness to learn and adhere to all infection control principles, policies and procedures as relevant to your role;
- The ability to communicate confidently, clearly and appropriately with patients, residents, visitors and staff;
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively, as part of the Housekeeping team and St Vincent’s Lismore community;
- Able to work shift work/work as per the roster;
- Proactive, self-motivated and willing to participate in quality control and self-development programs as required.
