Vacancy Post: Housekeeper Position at the High Commission of Malta 

The High Commission of Malta in Canberra invites applications for the position of Housekeeper. This role is significant in maintaining the efficiency of the official premises, including the Chancery, the residence of the High Commissioner and the Deputy High Commissioner. 

The key responsibilities for the role are the following: 

• General housekeeping duties across specified locations. 
• Setting up and serving diplomatic and official functions; 
• Preparation of meals and cooking. 
• Child-minding responsibilities. 
• Laundry management 
• Any other related duties as assigned by the High Commissioner and the Deputy High Commissioner.

Candidate requirements: 

To be considered suitable for this position, applicants must fulfil the following criteria: 

• Possession of a clean national police certificate;
• Hold a valid Working with Children certificate:
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
• Comfortable working around pets 
• Be punctual, reliable and trustworthy 
• Have strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively 
• Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an asset.
