Housekeeper Private Residence

We are looking for a dedicated, friendly, and enthusiastic Private Housekeeper to help take care of two (2) Private Residences in the Northern Beaches Area. This is a full-time role for someone that possesses excellent cleaning skills, is highly organised, demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and who take takes pride in their work. 

*Only accepting applicants based in Australia and are Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents*

Responsibilities include:

• Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces.
• Ensure all rooms are kept tidy, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and any additional spaces.
• Change bed linens and make beds to ensure fresh and comfortable sleeping arrangements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of household appliances, furniture, and decorations.
• Manage laundry and ironing tasks, including washing, folding, and putting away clothes and linens.
• Planning, preparing and cooking meals for the household residents and any guests.
• Feeding, grooming, exercising and caring for household pets.
• Washing dishes, utensils and any other items used in the preparation and presentation of meals.
• Stock and organise household supplies, such as cleaning products, toiletries, and kitchen essentials.
• Assist with grocery shopping and running errands as required.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and hazard-free environment.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Respect and maintain confidentiality regarding the privacy of the family and their home.
• Following specific instructions and schedules provided by clients.
• Caring for plants, taking messages, dropping off and picking up dry cleaning and running general errands.

Qualities of the successful candidate

• Friendly demeanour and professional attitude.
• Proven experience as a Housekeeper in a Private Residence or similar setting.
• Detailed knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labour and lift heavy objects when necessary.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
