Kingfisher Bay Resort, nestled amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of World Heritage-listed Fraser Island, is seeking dedicated individuals for a Permanent Part-Time Housekeeping Attendant position. We are interested in talking to those who want to work and live on the island or locals who want to live off in Hervey Bay and commute. Our eco-friendly resort offers a unique opportunity to work in a stunning environment while providing exceptional guest experiences.
As a Permanent Part-Time Housekeeping Attendant, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guest accommodation. This role offers consistent part-time employment of up to 76 hours per fortnight paying $28.32 per hour. You'll work across a broad 7-day rostering system 4/5 days a week and please note that commuting via the barge at River Heads is required for scheduled shift for those who live off the island.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning tasks in guest rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing amenities.
- Ensure all resort areas are consistently clean and orderly, including public spaces, corridors, and common areas.
- Adhere to strict safety and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and team members.
- Handle and report lost and found items following resort policies.
- Assist guests with requests and inquiries in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient room turnovers and cleaning of public areas.
- Promptly report maintenance issues and damages for resolution.
- Follow established procedures for waste disposal.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies and to be able to work in the warm weather during summer days.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
- A commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
