About us: Our hotel has recently rebranded to Cairns Harbourside Hotel, bringing new signage and new tropical vibes. Located right on the Cairns Esplanade overlooking Trinity Bay, our hotel boasts 173 stylishly appointed rooms and suites, conference and event facilities as well as our award-winning Harbourside Bar & Kitchen (HB&K).
Your day to day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Making sure every single room, bedroom, bathroom and corridor is at its absolute best for our guests
- Helping our guests in any way you can – whether they’ve forgotten their toothbrush or just need to find the elevator
- Keeping your supervisor in the loop by advising them of any progress or problems
- Report any maintenance requirements, lost property and safety hazards
- Cleaning guest rooms including bedrooms, bathrooms and corridors and ensuring towels and linen are refilled, replaced and stored correctly
- Regularly assisting with deep clean projects
What We need from you:
- It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important. You may need to bend and kneel to complete some activities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible attitude to shifts – you may be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays
- Able to start immediately
- A reliable and mature approach to your work
- A permanent resident with Australian Citizenship
