Our motel is located in Long Jetty, a 30-room 4-star motel that is currently undergoing a complete renovation and is one of the most respected motels in the area. We are hiring for a Housekeeping Supervisor position and if you are an ambitious, well-rounded professional who is good at leading the market, this is absolutely the perfect opportunity to work in a fun and dynamic role.

Your new role

The role of the Housekeeping Supervisor includes but is not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will have the responsibility of overseeing all aspects of the accommodation operations, including front office, housekeeping, and guest services. You will ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency. 

You will be responsible for the following: 

• Bedroom service
• Bathroom service
• Valet service
• Cleaning service
• Linen maintenance
• Management of all incoming and outgoing calls
• Perform Room allocations
• Perform Room inspections
• Prioritise arrival rooms
• Co-ordinate special projects (eg site rooms, vermin control, window and  room inventories)
• Visit in-house guest, and collect guest profile and comments everyday
• Management of lost property for the hotel
• Manage storage areas
• Maintain adequate stock levels
• Complete stock takes as required
• Maintain stock levels
• Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known 

Qualifications:

• 3+years Housekeeping Supervisor experience preferably in a motel/hotel of similar size and complexity and including supervisory experience or training.  
• Knowledge of reservation and property management systems, and industry best practices
• Ability to work a flexible rotating roster across 7 days.
• Experience with PMS would be highly regarded.
• Be willing to provide the details of professional referees including one that is a current or recent line manager if you are the preferred candidates.
