Medically fit, able to access and egress vehicle cabin 20-40 times per shift (peak periods) Able to complete multiple cylinder deliveries. Drug & Alcohol test - negative result.
Summary of tasks or jobs:
- Ensure Truck is maintained and presented in a roadworthy condition at all times and defects are reported and actioned as they occur;
- Carry out Daily Pre-Journey Mechanical Inspection of LPG Truck
- Comply with all Elgas polices and procedures as well as procedures for the safe handling of LPG when delivering and loading;
- Professional and courteous to Elgas staff and customers
- Comply with all state and national legislative requirements for Driving Hours and BFM compliance where required
- Report potential new customers and or customer requirements to sales representative
- Overtime will be required from time to time. Prior approval must be given for overtime
- Be safety conscious and abide by all regulations associated with the position.
- Co-operate with management and staff when planning annual leave.
- Avoid all types of accidents. In the event of an accident/incident, correct reporting and follow up procedures are to be adhered to.
- Make yourself available for training courses, conferences etc. as requested by operations manager or regional manager.
- Complete Elevate my Learning as part of the Elgas safety training program
- Work as directed
- Complete all paperwork and hand held computer processing.
- End of day route status including missed deliveries to be reported on conclusion of daily route.
- Report to transport supervisor any missed deliveries or abnormalities.
- Carry out gas inspections as requested and required
- Attend all training and safety meetings as they occur
- Work with introduction of new technology as they occur
- Cover annual leave and assist with workload within the Mildura branch, Broken Hill and throughout the region as required
- Carry out site compliance inspections
- Dock duties which includes filling cylinders, Swap n Go and depot maintenance
- Unload/load cylinders and appliances
