We do more than collect the bin from your street, we also convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Based in Darwin, we are seeking energetic HR Driver / Waste Collection Runners for our Domestic Waste Collections Contract performing essential community services throughout the area. 

In this role you will drive a HR Truck (as a Truck Operator) and on other days as a Runner; moving domestic waste bins from within unit complexes (for example), moving them to the curb for collection by our Truck Operators.  

A mix of both skills is essential.

• Self-motivated, honest, hardworking and energetic as there is a lot of physical activity involved
• Current HR licence (essential)
• Willingness to learn, ability to work well individually and as part of a team
• Commit to JJ's Waste values and be willing to embrace workplace diversity
• Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance and customer service
• Be subject to a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing
• An impeccable driving record, providing your last 10 years’ traffic history
