About the role The People and Culture (P&C) Division plays a key role in supporting AEMO, a critical infrastructure organisation, and our people to learn, lead and thrive as we navigate the energy future. We support our people to work in an environment that is adaptive, consumer-focused, and commercial.
As a member of the P&C HR Services Department, you’ll be working in collaboration with other P&C Specialist areas and AEMO Divisions, the role of HR Protective Security Officer provides HR Governance and Security operational support, oversight, and advice through business partnerships. In this role you will be the key source of HR security and compliance advice, change management, support and recommendations based on the organisations policies, procedures, strategies as well as State and Federal legal and regulatory frameworks.
What you will be doing
- Develop, implement and maintain HR security, governance compliance activities in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
- Responsibility in ensuring correct and secure record keeping of employee information and HR data.
- Contribute to the management of National Security Clearances and associated aftercare arrangements as required.
- Align HR standards, frameworks, compliance and security with overall business, technology strategy and uplift projects.
- Stay informed on frameworks, legislation and changes that impact AEMO and our employees.
What you will bring to the role
- Experience in change management, guiding organisations to adapt to enhanced processes, security and compliance.
- Ability to identify risks associated with business processes, privacy, security and technology and formulate responses to address same.
- Proven knowledge of the PSPF, with a particular focus on personnel security and governance core requirements.
- Tertiary qualifications in business with a major in Human Resources or a related field.
- Certificate lV in Personal Security or willingness to secure it.
