About the Role
On the back of successful business growth, we currently have a vacancy for a HR/HC Driver. As part of this role, you'll deliver a range of high-quality, integrated pick-up and delivery services by road to our customers on a daily basis and in a safe and timely manner.
Roles & Responsibilities- Loading and unloading goods in compliance with axle weights, load restraint regulations, and Company requirements
- Delivering bulk and packaged dangerous good as well as general freight to customers through single and multi drop deliveries
- Undertaking pre and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Driving and operating the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, observing all applicable road rules and Company policies/procedures
- Ensuring loads are secure and the vehicle is kept in a clean and tidy condition
- Complying with chain of responsibility requirements
- Completing required transport and delivery documentation accurately, and in a timely way
- Reporting any required vehicle maintenance to the appropriate personnel and in accordance with Company requirements.
Here are the skills and qualifications you'll need to be considered for this role.
- Current driver’s license with the appropriate license class
- Minimum 2 years of truck driving experience
- Ability to complete daily vehicle inspections and other compliance documentation
- Demonstrate a high level of safety – both on the road and in the workplace
- Possess a strong work ethic and be reliable
- Understanding of regulations including COR/NHVAS/Fatigue Management
- Ability to use a smart device
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to work overtime
- Commitment to customer service
- Ability to comply with Company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
A dangerous goods licence and forklift licence would be highly regarded but not essential.
