An exciting opportunity exists to be part of our valued Aboriginal Health team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander individual who has excellent customer service skills to gain permanent employment with the largest employer and health care provider in East Gippsland.
The contract: Ongoing, Part-Time, 32.0 hours per fortnight.
The position:
The Administration Support Officer is responsible for providing timely, accurate and efficient administrative support to assist the day to day operations of the Aboriginal Health Unit. Key to the role is the provision of customer service to patients, families, consumers and colleagues with a person-centred approach that is professional, approachable, responsive and compassionate at all times.

Key selection criteria:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in administration/reception/customer service role
- A good understanding of the local Aboriginal culture and community
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional, person centred manner and proven capacity to consider activities, decisions and outcomes from the perspective of the consumer or end-user
- Excellent organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritise in response to varying work requirements.
- A competent user of MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook.

The BRHS Aboriginal Health Unit actively supports our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to work towards improving their health and the health of their community. The Unit provides services which are culturally appropriate, accessible and responsive to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who live in the East Gippsland area.
