HR/MR Drivers & Offsiders - Airline Catering - Perth Airport

Blue Collar Recruitment is currently seeking enthusiastic drivers on a casual ongoing basis to work morning, afternoon or night shifts on any of the 7 days.

The right candidate:

• Drivers must hold a full and current WA HR or MR driver's licence
• Offsiders/ Marshallers must hold a valid WA driver's licence
• Work in a fast-paced environment endorsing safety as priority
• Is physically fit and must be able to pass a full medical including A&OD testing.
• Must be able to obtain a criminal history check/ASIC
• Has a great work ethic, willing to learn and progress
• Have a Can Do/ Customer Service attitude
• Good verbal and written communication skills

The Job:

• load fully stocked aircraft trolleys onto trucks at the catering facility before delivering them to the aircraft.
• Airside duties include guiding our fleet of hi-lift vehicles for safe approach, servicing the aircraft, and final signoff with the crew
• Perform short distance driving duties.
• Marshalling the Driver on the tarmac to position the truck in line with company, airport, and airline policies.
• Liaise with airline staff and hand over delivery.
• Follow up on any discrepancies and ensure that the flight load is correct.
• Preparation and packing of catering equipment.
• Load and unload trucks with carts, ovens, and standard units.
• Basic serviceability and maintenance checks of vehicles and equipment, including refuelling.
• Administrative documentation, reporting and general cleaning duties as required.
• Able to work in other areas of the unit for part or whole of shift basis to meet operational demands – a great way to gain extra skills.
