Piacentini & Son is a Mining and Earthmoving Contractor specializing in bulk earthworks, rehabilitation services, dry hire equipment, sales, heavy haulage transportation, mining and earthmoving services with over 1000 employees Australia wide.
We are seeking experienced HSE Advisors to join our team in Lake Argyle, Western Australia, assisting with the rehabilitation of the historic Argyle Diamond Mine.
Reporting directly to the Senior HSE Advisor, with active support from the Group HSE Manager, the HSE Advisor will provide on-site support, advice, practical expertise and solutions to site based personnel and contractors involved with the project on all HSE matters, risk management and injury management. The role requires a visible and hands-on approach to safety.
Duties of the Role:
- Support and implement Piacentini & Son's HSE Systems, Policies and Procedures
- Delivery of Health, Safety and Environment training to site
- Lead ICAM investigations
- Foster a proactive approach to HSE matters on site
- Auditing of internal safety performance and documentation to ensure compliance
- Injury management coordination of injured employees
- Completion of Fitness for Work testing
- Report to key stakeholders internally and externally and provide strategies for areas of improvement in performance

About You:
- Occupational Health & Safety qualifications (Certificate IV or above)
- 3 or more years’ experience in a similar role
- Professional communication both written and verbal.
- Current Occupational First Aid Qualification desirable.
- ICAM trained

- Valid Australian Drivers Licence
- Ability to obtain a current National Police Clearance (within the last 3 months)
- Ability to pass a Pre Employment Medical & Drug / Alcohol Screen
- Background in mining, resources or earthmoving operations would be seen as advantageous
- Flexible and versatile attitude
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
